Today we’re checking out Greenwood Village, Colorado! If you’re looking for one of the premier suburbs in the Denver area with great schools, beautiful homes, convenient to Denver Tech Center and downtown Denver, with a surprisingly rural feel, then this tour of Greenwood Village is a great place to start.
An absolute gem with some truly stunning homes that are a really good example of the best Colorado has to offer!
Excited to show you around, let’s get into it!
Greenwood Village Vibes
Greenwood Village is a really beautiful Denver suburb with both country and city feels with some of the most insane houses in the Denver area. Truly top notch schools, so many great outdoor spaces, and only about 25 minutes to downtown Denver and about 30-40 minutes to the airport.
Home to Denver Tech Center - the list of companies is wild. There are so many notable companies here - too many to list. And with DTC, comes so many great restaurants, bars, shops, and places to visit (like Denver Comedy Works South).
Home Price Statistics
Housing here is known to be pretty expensive. The median list price is about $1.1 million with a median sale price of about $1.3 million. That sort of speaks to the level of competition to get in here - to live in Greenwood Village you are going to have to have the means to be competitive.
On the market right now, single family homes range from about $665k all the way up to nearly $8 million. To get in those lower priced homes, you may not get a particularly move-in ready home and may need to do some renovating. As far as condo/townhomes go, mostly condos, you can get in on the very low end at around $300k and go all the way up to about $2 million.
Greenwood Village is overwhelmingly single family homes and you will find the condos more around Denver Tech Center. Homes will usually have big yards, and in some areas can feel very spread out.
Pros + Cons
Pros:
Some of the best schools in Colorado
Lots of really great outdoor spaces and the homes typically have giant yards or lot sizes
Peaceful, serene neighborhoods
Proximity to Denver Tech Center Denver, and the Denver International Airport
Denver Comedy Works South is in Greenwood Village
Cons:
Very expensive - big time pricey. Hard to find homes under $1 million
A bit exclusive - lots of gated communities
Not that convenient in terms of amenities
Not exactly a ‘trick or treatable’ in a lot of areas (a neighborhood where houses are close enough together where kids can go from house to house)
So many gated communities - even made it hard to film somewhat
